Foust and Son Funeral Home 523 South Main Street Grapevine, Texas. Mr. Timm will be laid to rest in DFW National Cemetery on Monday afternoon.

Mike was born April 29, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert Marion and Harriet Nowland Timm. His childhood was spent in Covington, KY, St Louis, MO, and Chicago, IL. Mike graduated from Downers Grove North High School in 1965 and went to the University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana. Hospitalization due to a serious car accident his freshman year, in college caused him to be ineligible for deferment, so he was drafted into the Air Force. He served from September 1966 thru July 1970 with his time spent as a medical evacuation helicopter pilot in Viet Nam.

After returning from duty, he completed college in 1974 with a degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois. Mike became interested in the Information Technology industry early on and spent his career initially as a Data Center Manager at Dr. Pepper Bottling Company and Baylor Medical Center, and later as an Account Executive, retiring from Atos Origin in 2005. He met the love of his life, Mary Ann Kana of Villa Park, IL, in July 1980 when she was a college summer intern at Bunker Ramo Corporation in Chicago. They had a long distance romance while she completed college and they married on September 11, 1982. He was relocated from Chicago to Dallas for US Telephone in Aug 1982, so they made their home in Dallas after their honeymoon. Through the years Mike was known for his love of entertaining. Early on they were more casual parties, often grilling by the pool, but after retiring, he discovered a love of cooking and wine which resulted in delicious dinner parties. Mike also enjoyed playing golf and had recently joined Oakmont Country Club in Corinth to start playing more. He was an avid reader and while his daughter Tracy was in school spent many hours with her on the softball fields.

He was a loving, supportive husband, father and friend will be deeply missed by them.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Kana Timm of Lantana and his daughter, Tracy Katherine Timm of Dallas.
